Code It Forward
A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Code It Forward is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to digital education and building web apps that promote political accountability, transparency, and social awareness.
We primarily build tools for the American public. Our projects help Americans understand what their representatives are doing — whether that be in the stock market or on the floor of Congress.
Our flagship projects are Congress Activity, The Stance Project, and, most recently, SenateTrades. We've also been working on Inside Bear, a Twitter bot that tracks Congressional stock movements. If you want to check out the code behind our projects, no one is stopping you! We keep all of our projects open-source on GitHub.
Code It Forward was formed in the summer of 2021 in New York State by George and Jack McCain. In the fall of 2022, we founded Code It Forward Education to bridge the digital divide by making coding education accessible to underprivileged communities.
We developed a comprehensive curriculum that combines hands-on coding experience with real-world project development. Our program has reached over 500 students across multiple states, with a particular focus on rural and inner-city communities. We provide mentorship, equipment, and ongoing support to ensure sustainable learning outcomes.
